This Jorvik boot, or York boot as it is sometimes called, is fashioned with an overlap closure and secured with a toggle. Found on the European continent and in Britain dating from the 9th and 10th centuries. The pattern of the shoe is very exact although a few minor
changes have been made for comfort.
Made with 3-4 ounce top grain cow hide, natural leather inner soles and a thick 12 ounce leather outer sole, all sewing is hand stitched and the toggles are fitted through a slit hole on the overlap closure. Golden brown color.
