Blade blanks for the Albion Mark line are milled to their designs of 5160 steel, and each sword is hand ground and finished by their team of craftspeople. These swords feature varying degrees and types of distal taper, including a non-linear distal taper on many of their blades. The type of taper is customized to each blade to maximize its intended function. Each Albion Mark blade is also individually heat-treated in Albion's shop for maximum flexibility and cutting performance. Historically accurate, yet ideal for cutting practice as well, each sword is carefully balanced and tested.
All Albion Mark pieces are sold sharp. Sharpening is accomplished as part of the blade finishing process and the piece has what is often described as a "sword edge" which is an integral part of the blade geometry, not an after-market knife bevel.
These pieces are guaranteed for life against defects in materials and workmanship. This guarantee does not apply to damage caused by your modifications, neglect, inappropriate use, and natural wear and tear.
