This boss is modeled after a shape commonly found in Viking Age burials. Rim is about 7.5" on the outside. Inside of dome is about 6". Dome is about 2.75" tall. Made from 16GA steel and weighs about 1.25lbs. Blackened with oil. This is our most historical shield boss or umbo.
