These beautiful tortoise brooches are modeled after an original pair found at Santon Downham in Suffolk England dated to the late 9th century. Our brooches is cast from brass with a polished bronze consuming. Approximately 3x2" and 1" tall. Sold in pairs.

Nice brooches
Nice weight and finish. The pins are sturdy and I don't see them bending or breaking. The front is very detailed and historically accurate. Very happy with one exception - the size could stand to be a bit bigger (especially since there are other sets of the same ones, but labelled "small").
