This barrette is both lovely and functional. Slide is modeled after the Oseberg find and has a silver finish. Leather is about 4x2.25" and pin is 5" long.

Oseberg slide barrete
I’ve had my barrette for maybe 5 years now, and I think it will stay in working order indefinitely. It is definitely best suited for thick hair that is at least shoulder length. It always gets compliments and questions and could easily pay for itself in money saved on cheap hair ties.
