A really great seax for the money. 18" overall with a 12" high carbon steel blade. Tang is peened at the end of the pommel cap. Wood grip is covered with nice leather wrap. Blade is not sharpened and has a blunt edge. Fits nice and deep in included leather sheath.

Fighting Seax
I'm giving this fighting seax 3 out of 5 . The price is fantastic, the material is very good (carbon steel/wood/thick leather) the overall blade shape is exactly what I wanted. I very much like the overall look . Setbacks in quality. The handle is offset to one side. There are large space gaps over 1/8 not filled with anything where blade tang enters metal for handle. The blade is not centered and there is a lot play in handle. Meaning The blade actually moves around in this space...Rather then sending it back I'm going fix it my self. What 59 American dollars is worth it. The leather sheath is very well made.

Nice seax!
This is a nice no frills weapon, it does indeed fit nice and deep in the included thick leather sheath. The only issue is that the sheath is upside down, the blade edge faces down rather than up when hanging in the sheath, so naturally the blade will eventually cut through the bottom of it requiring the owner to have a new sheath made in order to carry it.

Beautiful piece for the non-flashy Warrior. I love it. No complaints at all.

Simple but Elegant
Solid construction. Nothing fancy, but well balanced and holds a good edge.

Poor blade
The handle is good, but the blade is poor quality. It has numerous hammer dents on both sides. Sheath is too large.
