Seax With Wire Wrapped Handle

This seax is the real deal!!!

Bought for costuming/cosplaying and is of far better quality than expected, even more so when considering it's very fair price tag. It's large, extremely sturdy, and just feels nice to have in your hand. With just a bit of sharpening I could easily see myself using this as a genuine outdoor knife. One of the "fins" wrapped around the top of the wire handle was bent up slightly and a bit sharp, but it was filled down and lightly hammered back into place within seconds. It's leather sheath is also very well made and for costume purposes the loops easily fit on a viking belt and the knife won't fall out unless pulled on. An absurdly good buy,

I was expecting to get something that was just for show. Figured the leather case would be made from 'pleather' (plastic leather) and that the seax blade would have some play in it at the handle. Was I surprised. This item is AWESOME! Sturdy, real leather case, beautiful to look at.

Looks Good.

It actually looks a lot better then you would expect, the photos don't do much justice to it. It seams well crafted, and the material quality seams to be good, however I did not test it and I don't intent to, for this price the good looks is rewarding enough. The sheath is real leather, fits great, and very good quality, I love the color. There is one minor thing - the loops on the sheath are positioned with little or no regards for the center of the gravity, and they can't be moved, so if you plan to wear it, I can see it will be an annoyance.

seax is very solid blade is of good quality length is perfect, wire wrapped handle is superior, better than others have seen , any viking would be proud to wear on raids, working on farm, everyday uses, thank you viking-shield, till next raid on your shop HEJDA, Brian

I got this for my son to give to his dad for Christmas ... when he saw it, he sooooooo wanted it that I bought another so that my husband can give it to my son. Merry Christmas everyone!!! woo

It is a quality blade and very happy

Very happy with this purchase. Real brass handle, crossguard, real leather sheath. I was expecting to have some corners cut considering the price. But its good quality. If your thinking about buying this product, do it.
